PARIS °- An Iranian Jewish journalist. Simon Farzami. was executed recently by a firing squad in Teheran.
The news was first reported here by the French news agency. Agence France Presse for whom the veteran journalist worked for several years.
However, sources in Paris confirmed only later that Farzami was Jewish and had at one time been an active member of the Teheran Jewish community, He was reportedly the seventh Jew executed by the regime of Ayatoilah RuholSa Khomeini..
Farzami. who was 70 years old. headed for almost 20 years the main Teheran French-language daily. Journai de Teheran, serving as its editor and publisher.
After the paper closed down following the takeover of the Iranian government by the Ayatoilah. Farzami started working for the AFP as a translator and reporter.

TEL AVIV - Israeli officials tended to 'play down the Syrian shelling of villages in the Chris-tjaii enclave in south Lebanon on two recent occasions as a one-time affair that did not herald a serious deterioration of the situation.
UNITED NATIONS — The General Assembly adopted a resolution recently requesting the complete and unconditional rwithdrawal of Israeli troops from *^all the Palestinian and other Arab territories occupied since June 1%7. including Jerusalem.** and stating that any coniprehensive solution in the area must be sponsored by the U.N.
The vote was 101-13. with 30 absteiittons; Among-4hQse^ ing the resolution were Israel, the U.S. and six of the nine members of the European Economic Community. The other • three EEC members — France. Ireland and Italy — abstained.
The resolution declared that a comprehensive peace must also be based on Palestinian rights, including the right of return, self-determination, national independence and the establishment of an independMit state in Palestine under the leadership of the PLO. JTA.
