Carole Fader, co-ordinator of both this and the preceding edition, has been working on directory sales and preparation since November 1981 with assistance of volunteer Terry Lirenman.
The arduous undertaking of updating listings was again undertaken by Reta Wolochow who first volunteered her services in 1977. She initiated at that time inclusion of the names of. women alongside their husbands in the listings, as well as postal codes, f

Beth Israel has announced appointments of Lorne and Sylvia Cristall as conveners of the Congregation's gala Golden Anniversary Week-end, Dec. 3-5.
The conveners bring to the positions several years of experience in synagogue and community activities. Cristall, who received his early Jewish education ^t Beth Israel and celebirated his Bar-Mitzvah there, is immediate past president of the Congregation. He is also a past. president of Vancouver Talmud :^Torah.\.
Sylvia Cristall, Who has been aciiye on the Talmud Tprah Parent-Teacher, Association board, is currently vice-president oif Vancour ver Hadassah Wizo Council and serves on the board of Camp Hatikvah.
