Luncheon lecture to address the 'Palestinian Question'
The Canadian Zionist Federation and the Jewish Community Centre will present the seventh Lecture in the Israel Luncheon Series on Tuesday, March 3 in the ShalomGallery at the Jewish Community Centre at 12 noon.
Guest speaker will be Dr. Mordechai Nisan, PhD in Political Science, senior lecturer at the Rothberg School for Overseas Students at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem.
DnNisan's topic will be "The Palestinian Question."
Born in 1947 in Montreal,-Nisan has lived in Israel since 1972. He took a doctorate in Political Science at McGill University in 1975.
Since 1976 he has been a senior lecturer in Middle East Studies, Hebrew University of Jerusalem at The Rothberg School for Overseas Students.
Prior to this he was a research fellow at the Truman Institute, Hebrew University.
His five books, published
NISAN
between 1977 and 1986, examine various aspects of problems in the Middle East, as do his numerous articles which have been widely published.
The Israel Information Service and National Canadian Zionist Federation helped to bring Dr. Nisan to Vancouver.
