On Sunday afternoon, Jan. 29th, Emunah Women of Vancouver will host a children's Entertainment Afternoon at Schara Tzedeck.
At 2 p.m. the youth auditorium will be transformed into a children's version of a town market square. A general admission ticket will allow unUmited access to a puppet theatre, a library with storytelling clowns, a mini-movie theatre, beauty salon (face-painting), dancing school, and playground.
The marketplace will include a photography studio as well, where children (of all
ages) can be photographed — as characters other than themselves! This will be the only attraction (other than the kosher restaurant) where additional payment is requested.
The entertainment centres will be open until 6 p.m., including the restaurant. An afternoon of varied and innovative fun can begin with a late lunch, or be topped off with an early supper.
Proceeds from the event go to support a network of Emunah-sponsored educational institutions in Israel, from day care and nurseries through vocational training
and adult education facilities.
For more information, call Riva Strauss at 872-3120 or Judy Balshine at 733-4240.

The brunch, held at the home of Lola and Norman Pawer was highlighted by a home bake sale, sponsored by the Mozah Zemans branch NCJW, and a "very success-fur raffle featuring eight grand prizes. Monies raised at the brunch benefit the Israel Family Counselling association (IFC A) in Tel Aviv.
The Friends and Angels dinner was held at the home of Rochelie and Alvin Moses.
NGJW's annual award for outstanding achievement in the arts and humanities was presented at the dinner to Carol Henriquez and Ernie Fladell.
Henriquez is a founder and executive director of Arts Umbrella, and Fladell is a founder and executive producer of the Vancouver Children's Festival.
