The right to freedom of movement was recently reconfirmed by the Soviets at the Vienna Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe on January 19, and duly reported in the Soviet press. The facts, however, contradict their words, Vancouver Action for Soviet Jewry told The Bulletin.
There are still many long-term Refuseniks awaiting permission, separated families, regime prisoners in the Gulag, and others refused visas because a member of their family will not grant them permission to depart, said VASJ spokesman Ronnie Tessler. Even more disturbing is the

As in other years, an international effort is being mounted to demonstrate support for Russian Jewish families deprived of essential freedoms, said Tessler. In Canada around'-the-clock telephone marathons are being organized regionally. B.C.'s designated day is Friday, March. 10.
Various women's organizations have chosen days for their participation as a group: March 8, Women's Federation, Hadassah-WlZO, Na'-amat; March 9, National Council and B'nai B'rith Women.

Jewish Association of Singles Services
A program of Jewish singles Council of Greater Vancouver.
A rainy Vancouver Sunday afternoon was transformed into a busy "fun-day" for the many children who visited Emunah's recent Entertainment Market.
For many the novelty began at Market Maadanim with a lunch of fish and chips or pizza (all kosher), freshly prepared by Emunah' Women volunteers.
Smiling faces were seen criss-crossing the auditorium from one activity to the next, organizers told Vie Bulletin. The smiles were soon supplemented with colorful and original face-painting designs froni Yoffi Beauty Salon.
Daniella's Dancing School featured Israeli music, while
the sounds of Gal-Or Movies beckoned from the stage.
The playground, well used by the younger set, became less populated during puppet-show times when "Tiggy" Small entertained with the hilarious antics of Punch and Judy.
Sipurin Library provided fun audience-participation and the "Gamad," specially painted for the occasion by Lori Goldberg, was photographed with many different faces by Barbara Meyer.
The event raised funds to support services for the children of Israel while providing an afternoon of activity for dozens of Vancouver youngsters.
