Recently, Rabbi Levene presented T/ze Four Faces of Israel to a sold-out evening hosted by Ed Mirvish at his 1,500^eat Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto,
Rabbi Levene's character-iziations have captivated audiences worldwide, Franks said. Talking on thepersonas . of foui- distinct characters, he focuses on the problems of stereotyping, an all-too-common occurrence in Israeli society.
Amidst the laughter the show generates, Franks said, the audience will ultimately be led to seriously confront the immediate issues of Jewish identity and Jewish unity.
Rabbi Levene is the grandson of the late Reb Aryeh Leyene, known as the Zadik of Jerusalem for his
legendary love and tolerance of all Jews.
; Following in his grand-father's footsteps, .Rabbi Benji, as he is affectionately called, is currently the associate director of the Gesher ; Foundation in Israel.
Gesher ("bridge" in Hebrew) is dedicated to building bridges of uriderstanding between the various religious and secular factions within Judaism, and to unifying the Jewish people.
Franks noted a champagne reception will conclude the festivities. He inyited the entire coriimun-ity to "join Israel Bonds for an evening of celebration, tribute, and laughter."
