Three information meetings have been scheduled to talk about the proposed October trip from Vancouver to the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C.
The meetings are slated for Thursday, Sept. 1 at 2:30 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 12 at both 3 p.m. and again at 7 p.m., all at the Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver.
Jack Small of Ageless Adventures will show a video on the museum and answer questions pertaining to the Oct. 12 trip.
The tour is co-sponsored by the JCC and the Vancouver Holocaust Centre Society and is open to everyone in the community.

LONDON — The Federation of Synagogues has warned a new Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals campaign has re-opened the threat to kosher meat in Britain. The animal welfare organization plans to extend its "Freedom Food" labelling campaign, which certifies that food has been produced under humane conditions.
One lucky hockey fan is going to get the chance to "Roam the Rink" courtesy of Hadassah-WIZO Yamit chapter.
The group is holding a raffle for a pair of 1994-95 season's Vancouver Canucks season's tickets.
The tickets . have been donated by various people, with a pair of tickets available for every game. The lucky winner and companion will be able to view the action from various spots throughout the rinks. Most seats are in the reds or low blues, a Yamit chapter spokesman said.
Second prize will be one pair of tickets for six games, with a third prize of one pair for three games.
The draw will be held Oct. 2, 1 p.m. at the Richmond Golf and Country Club.

The Shoot-out at Mus-queam Golf Club begins at noon on Thursday, Sept. 8 and runs through Sunday, .Sept. 11. Volunteers from all these organizations will participate Thursday, Friday afternoon and Sunday.
A celebrity sports challenge, with professional sports players and Vancouver Canucks alumni competing against, each other, kicks off the tournament.

Qualifying for the final involves a two-step process, Zlotnik explained. Firstly, balls are purchased to hit on the driving range to try to qualify for the next stage which is a chip-off. The chip-off is held hourly and the winner each hour qualifies for the final event.
Tournament co-chair Marc White, who is also director of the Physical Medicine Research Foundation, estimates that more than 3,000 people will try to qualify for this year's tournament.
