Peres joins Bonds club
Susan Weikers-Volchok, U.S. Israel Bonds national chair, welcomes Prime Minister Shimon Peres as a member of the Israel Bonds Prime Minister's Club, during a recent meeting In Tel Aviv. Members of the club, which launched the Israel Bonds 1996 campaign, invest a minimum of $25,000 each year.
Change of name for BB Women
As B'nai B'rith Women gets ready to celebrate its 100th birthday in March, the organization has changed its name to Jewish Women International (JWI).
JWI international president Susan Bruck said that "the new name expresses the organization's maturity. It reflects our independence as women, our commitment as Jews, and our leadership as individuals."
Bur Mrs. Bruck stressed that "tlie name change signals no sudden changes in goals and programs." n
CIC on the web
The Canada-Israel Committee (CIC) has opened a web site on the Internet.
The web site offers individuals access to CIC's publications, information on the government of Canada, access to "Shalom-net" (Embassy of Israel in Ottawa) "Israel Line" (Israeli Consulate in New York), the Foreign Ministry in Israel and linkups with other "gophers."

Reunion planned for Jewish refugees
On the weekend of May 17 -19, there will be an intemEi-tional 50th Anniversary Reunion of fonner Jewish refugees who were in post-Second World War Displaced Persons Camjps in the western sectors of Berlin.
Those camps were Schlacht-ensee (American Sector), Tem-pelhof (British Sector) and the third in the French Sector, Also included in the reunion is the Eschwege DP Camp in Germany.
The aims of the reunion are twofold: (1) to ejcpress the gratitude of the fonner refugees for theUNRRA and JDCiBscue effort, and (2) to assemble historical photos and memorabilia for deposit in the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington and New York.
The reunion is an opportunity for former refugees to meet once again as a family.
