Mrs. B. Perelmuter has been elected Hadassah chairman of the Jewish National Fund in Montreal. She ia also Dominion Hadassah chairman of the Jewish National Fund-in the eastern division, and first president of the Queen Esther Chapter of Hadassah of Montreal, which with Miriam Brainin-Ortenberg Chapter of Hadassah, was the first Hadassah chapter organized in Canada. Mrs. Perelmuter is also honorary vice-president of" / Montreal Hadassah and member of the National Council,of the Zionist Organization of Canada.

Mr. and Mrs. Max Leopold received at their home, 111 Vendome Avenue, from four to eleven, Sunday, October 7, in honour of the bar-mitzvah of their son, Peter. Mrs. Leopold, in a yellow chiffon gown trimmed with rhinestones, was assisted by Mrs. J. A. Dobrofsky and Mrs. P. Dobrofsky. Mesdames Sam Leopold and Felix,Leopold assisted in the dining-room.
