In wishing the Jewish people a happy and prosperous New Year, I do so with the sincere hope that there will be an early reconciliation of the many differences that have occurred during the past several months and which have so vitally effected your compatriots who are Geeking to establish themselves in new homes.
Your people have gone through a period of great persecution and it is to be hoped that the time will not be too long delayed when the refugees from the various war-torn countries may once again have the opportunity of rehabilitating themselves and Uving peacefully and contentedly.
I feel sure that this is the thought that is uppermost in all our minds at this season and I trust that within the calendar of your New Year, ro.any things will be accomplished to bring about a happy conclusion to these problems.

Approach of another Jewish New Ye£ir finds conditions in Jewry throughout the Old World still in a very disturbed and unhappy state.
We on this side of the world, where Jew and Gentile live so happily together, are perplexed with the situation in the Eastern Hemisphere. We can only hope and pray that postwar conditions now existing will be quickly adjusted so that men of all races and creeds will be able to . live together in amity and lhat the doctrine of the Golden Rule will assume supremacy with an end to misunderstanding and disagreement.
I wish the Jews of Ihis commimity the felicitations of a season which means so much to them, and express the sincere wish that abroad, peace and happiness will result from the efforts of men of goodwill of all nations.
