Sbiger's work. The Brothers Ashkenazi, is discussed. ART OF THE GUITAR CBC Festival Toronto will feature, guitarist Nbrbert Kraft in a three-concert series The Art of The Guitar. The three Tuesday evening concerts, (Jan. 4, Feb. 15 and March.22 at 8 p.m.) will feature masterpieces from the Renaissance to the present. Performing with Kraft will be his wife, harpsichordist Bonnie Silver, violinist Moshe Hammer and Jeanne Baxtresser, principal flautist for the Toronto Symphony, among others. ■■ ■■■ The series will be recorded live for future broadcast. FIRST AID AND CPR North York parks and'recreation department, in conjunction with St. John Ambulance, is offering ifirst aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) courses to North York residents beginning in January. Course fees range from $4 to $25. A 3-hour lifesaver, 8rhour emergency and 16-hour standard first aid courses are scheduled at different times and in various North York locations. CARE FOR PETS ■ Now that the cold weather has arrived, the Toronto Humane Society remind us to take extra special care of our pets, and not leave them outside as long as you would in warmer weather. This is especially true for older pets, who feel the cold more readily. The society advise that pets don't need as many baths in winter, and if one is given, keep your pet inside for at least eight hours .afterward. Be especially careful to keep anti-freeze away from your pets. Store it in a tightly closed container, and quickly clean up any spills. Street salt is another hazard for pets. The sah can get caught in between paws and can cause irritation and infection. For further information, call the Toronto Humane Society at 362-CARE.
