THE FISHERMAN
September 26, 1939
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO VAN. FISHERMEN
All fishermen fishing out of the Port of Vancouver are asked to display their license number as prominently as possible on their boats in order to assist port authorities to qucikly grant clearance to small craft using the harbor.
This request has been made to the Fishermen's Union by the Port Commander and we appeal to all members of the PCFU to conform to it and thus avoid any further possible restriction.
A. V. HILL.
At a meeting of the executive board of the PCFU held Sept. 25 the following resolution was adopted and sent to Premier King at Ottawa: Honorable Sir:
Members of the Pacific Coast Fishermen's Union, through their executive board, pledge their full support to your government in the war against fascist aggression and for the preservation of Democracy.
Signed, A. V. Hill, Secretary.

Pacific Coast Fishermen's Union wishes to extend appreciation to the nurses of Ward "S" and the Dietician of Vancouver General Hospital for the kind attention shown one of the union members, Ole Martin, in presenting him with a birthday cake while a patient in ward S.
The union executive committee passed a hearty vote of thanks to them for this splendid action and all of them wish the staff of the hospital responsible for such kindness many happy birth day anniversaries of their own.
