The Pacific Harvester's main engine is a General Motors Tandem 440 fitted with 5:1 hy-draulically operated Falk re-
verse reduction coupled to a 4% in. bronze tailshaft. She has a 66 in. wheel.
Features of the GM diesel, supplied by Hoffars, are electric starting with a 32 volt 50 amp Leece-Neville alternator and closed fresh water cooling

Auxiliary power is supplied
by a two cylinder GM Series 71 diesel.
Navigational equipment on the Pacific Harvester includes radar model 303 supplied by Goertz; Wesco radio model WX 150 supplied by Western Radio; Ekolite combination
herring and halibut model ER9A with bottom line definition, 240 fathom indicator attachment and Loran APV4, all supplied by Sounder Sales and Service.
On her trial run the Pacific Harvester recorded a speed of
12.3 knots.
With Bob Karliner as captain and Ken Munroe as engineer, crew members of the new vessel are: E. Minoski, cook; Harry Thompson, R. May, E. Likness, K. Knutsen and A. Knutsen.
