Mr. Ben - Gurion claimed that the Zionist movement should be replaced by a "Union cf Jewg who value and love Israel."
The Committee then decided to meet again in a fortnight's time to formulate clearly Mapai's resolutions on the issue.

Dr. Samuel Sandmel, provost of the Hebrew Union College -Jewish Institute of Religion, in Cincinnati, argues that genuine good will "implies acknowledged differences accompanied by reciprocal respect."
Chief Rabbi To Leave S. A.
- In a pamphlet for teenagers, "Judaism and Christianity," pub lished by the B'nai B'rith Youth Organization, Dr. Samuel declares that an imderstanding of religious differences strengthens Judaism among Jews.

Paris, (JCNS). M. Andre Blumel, president cf ilie French Zionist Federation expressed his willingnesc to resign at a stormy meeting of the Executive commilicc of tlie Federation whicli took i:!ace here last v/eek.
M. Blumel was criticised by the General Zionists and the Revisionists for having accepted an invitation to visit East Germany and to write c series of articles in the organ of the Federation "La Tribune Sion-iste" in which he appeared to be favourable to the East-German government..

edition of the late Dr. Felix £^ Falk, of Germany, is to be published in Holland shortly, thanks to a subsidy from the Netherland Organisation for Scientific Research..
The manuscript is the property of the Bibliotheca Rosen-thaliana, the Department for Judaica and Hebraica at the Amsterdam University Library, which acquired it in 1951.
The "Shmuel Book" originated in Europe in the late Mid-dleAges, and tells the story of King David, with many narrative elements from the Talmud and later literature, against a medieval European background. It was first printed in Augsburg in 1554.
The late Dr. Falk, who worked on the Book for more than 30 years, was born in Koshwin Germany, in 1883. He l°ft after Hitler's rise to power and found hospitaUty in Holland, but was later deported by the Nazis when they occupied Holland and did not survive the war.
