EVENING
In conjunction with the Slichot Services being held at Adath Is rael Synagogue this Saturday evening, September 14, a gala "Evening of Entertainment with Emil Cohen" will precede the midnight service, sponsored by the Israel Bond Committee of the Congregation.
The Committee in charge of the congregation's Bond effort is headed by Rabbi Erwln Schlld Bond Chairman Louis Quia and Honorary Committee Member Jacob Pascal. For the past several years a group of orthodox minded persons embarked on a venture to build the first orthodox sy nagogue in Bathurst Manor. During this period the congregation was housed at 160 Overbrook Place. The spirit of brotherhood and enthusiasm was so great that it was Imperative to purchase a lot with 565 ft. frontage, extending one full block between Wilmington and Shaftesbury. The first stage of the structure is now built and services will be

TORAH LEADERSHIP SEMINAR
A record number of teenagers I from Toronto's Shaarei Sho-I mayim attended the Torah Leadership Seminar conducted by I Yeshiva University Synagogue Youth Council at Camp Monroe, New York, during the last part of August. The Brotherhood I Scholarship Fund made avail-1 able a number of scholarships to as to encourage even larger participation from Shaarei Sho-mayim. As usual, the teenagers returning from the Torah Lesf-dership Seminar were imbued with a new sense of dedication and loyalty to Torah and Jewish | values.

A Talmud class In Tractate Kiddushin meets every Saturday morning at 8:15 and Sunday afternoon; the Mishna class is studying Taharoth daily after morning services. Halachah class weekdays, before Mincha services. Tractate Chaglga studied Tuesday evenings 8 am. During the High Holiday season Rabbi G. Felder, Spiritual leader lectures Saturday afternoon on The Laws, prayers, customs and traditions associated with the Holy Days.
