HOW TO REMEMBER
Dear Editor:
On the eve ol Vum Kip-pur, tlie holiest day on the Jewish calendar, perhaps it is relevant to appeal to our fellow Jews to remember the holocaust and our six million brothers and sisters who pefished during World War II.
.1 believe it is important for us, the newcomers, as well as the old-time citizens of Canada to hold a consultation to horior the martyrs in a fitting manner on Canadian soil. Perhaps an impressive monument ought to be erected for our children and their offspring to behold; they never should forget, the lesson of World Warir.
It also would be of significance to introduce some
kind of course on the history of World War II in our schools, and how it affected our people. Such, naturally, would be prepared by scholars who would present it objectively and would bear in mmd that its purpose was for the young to rcmernber. Montreal Ben Mihier
