* Neil Smon, young New York playwright whose Gome Blow Your Horn, Barefoot in the Park and The Odd Couple made thousands happy, has another hit on his hands, Star Spangled GirL
* Filming of The Corrupt Ones, a Warner Bros, motion picture drama starring Robert SUck, Elke Sommer and Nancy Kwan, has been completed in Berlin.
The color adventure drama produced by Nat Wachs-berger and directed by James Hill also was filmed on location in Hong Kong and Paris.
* Ed Kahn, executive secretary of the John Edwards Memorial Foundation at UCLA dedicated to the preservation and study of early recorded folk music, will serve as consultant on public domain music for Cool Hand Luke, the Warner Bros, motion picture drama starring Paul Newman as a chain-gang prisoner. Musical score is being composed by Lalo Schiftin.
' Because he had such a good time at the recent party given by Truman Capote, David Merrick plans to throw one himself next year. Said the Broadway producer, "1 was inspired. It was the most interesting guest list Pveever encountered. 1 thought,'What a wonderful thing to have a party not for any reason.* I'll get Truman to help me."
He thinks he'll have it in a hotel because "you need that kind of space. But he's pretty sure the men won't have to wear costumes. "They wpoldfl't want to get all dressed up. They never do but the ladies love it"
Some of the guests at Truman Capote's party included author Nbrman Mailer, Mrs. Joseph Fox, wife of his editor at Random House, historian Arthur Schlesinger Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Paley, Mrs. Gimbel.

S. Y. Agnon, who, with Nelly Sochs, received the Nobel Prize for Literature Saturday night.
Stockholm, Sweden. - Two .'ewish authors - one from Israel and the other from Sweden - received their Nobel Prizes Saturday evening from King Gustaf VI Adolf.
The annual award ceremony was held in Stockholm's Concert Hall in the presence of the royal family. Government leaddersandthe diplomatic corps. Together with the dinner that followed in Sockhnlm's Towti Hall, it was an usual Scandinavia's most glittering event of the year.
This was also the 75th birthday of Nelly Sachs, the German-bom poet who shared the Nobel Literature Prize with Shmuel Yosef
Agnon, the Hebrew writer who lives in Jerusalem, Mr. Agnon is 78.
Miss Sachs and Mr. Agnon were selected for the award by the Swedish Academy, which hailed them as "outstanding Jewish authors, each of whom represents Israel's message to our time."
Each received from the hands of the King a gold medal and a diploma. They will share the prize money, which amounts this year to the equivalent of nearly $60,000.
The ceremony was postponed till the evening in order that Agnon not be forced to break 0ie Sobbath.

Generation deals with a conventional mid-western father and his daughter who is married to an unconventional beatnik. The girl was eight-and-a-half months pregnant when the couple took their vows. The comedy works up to a pitch when they decide to deliver the baby themselves.

ISRAEUARAB AT OXFORD
London, (JCNS) - An Israeli Arab is doing postgraduate research at Oxford with the assistance of the British Friends of the Hebrew University.
This was disclosed by the chairman, Professor Norman Bentwich when presenting his report to the Friends annual meeting at the Assembly Hall, University of London.
At the same time two non-Jewish scholars are studying at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, with the assistance of the British Friends.
Although the Friends last year raised less money than in the previous record year. Professor Bentwich said, it must be considered that income included a onetime contribution of 100,000 pounds by Foundation.

The Search-for-Talent Concert, conducted by the Farband Labor Zionist Order of Toronto, will take place on Sunday evening, March \% 1967, at Massey Hall, it was announced this week.
