HEBRON SETTLERS MAY HAVE TO LEAVE
Jerusalem (JCNS) - The three Hebron Jewish settlers ordered to be banished from the town by the Military Governor, have written to the Premier, Mr. Levi Eshkol, apologizing for their behavior.
Nevertheless, at a meeting on Tuesday of the Knesset security committee ~ to which Knesset motions on the subject were referred—Mr. Dayan said that the banishment order must be implemented, in order to make clear to the Arabs that orders given by the Military Governor must be obeyed by one and all. The committee accepted his views by nine votes to three.
The banishment order waS made because the three had erected an unauthorized kiosk in the town and refused to demolish it when instructed to do so.
On Sunday the'Cabinet had deferred the implementation of the order for a second term of seven days.
A day or so after Sunday's Cabinet meeting. Rabbi Le-vinger, the leader of the three settlers, conferred separately with Mr. Moshe Dayan (Defense Minister), Mr. Moshe Shapiro (Interior Minister) and Dr. Warhaftig.
Rabbi Levinger conveyed the settlers' apologies for their actions and promised that they would obey the Military Governor's instructions in future.

The Rev. L. Hardman, of the Hendon Synag(^e, who strongly opposed a similar visit two years ago, will take part in one meeting, at the North-Western Reform Synagogue, together with Rabbi Lionel Blue, European director of the World Union for Progressive Judaism.
Paistor Dieter Schoeneich, who brought the first group in 1966, will again be the leader. The 20 youngsters, from the North-German town of Husum, range in age from 16 to 24.
Their London program will include visits to the New Liberal Synagogue, Belsize Park, and the Westminster Synagogue, They will also attei^ lectures on Judaism, the annual conference of the youth section of the World Union for Progressive Judaism and ail ordination ceremony at the LeoBaeckCollege.
A visit to the Wiener Library, a centre spnecializing in research onNaziGermany and Jewish persecution, has also been arranged.
The young Germans will stay with members of the host synagogue and will be entertained by the synagogue's youth group.
NO DEAL YET WITH MAP AM
Tel Aviv (JCNS) - A first meeting of the Labor Party leadership to formulate the possible terms of an agreement bringing Mapam into the fold with Mapai, Achdut Avoda and Rafi has reached no conclusion. Another meeting will be held in a fortnight's time, when the Prime Minister, Mr. Levi Eshkol, . will be back froni holiday.
Mrs. GoldaMeir, the formr er general secretary of the Labor Party, is known to have urged her colleagues to "seize the opportunity" for a deal with Mapam while that party's cool attitude on Soviet policies remains.
