WOMEN PLAN ISRAEL BOND CAMPAIGN FOR 1968 — One and a half million dollars in Israel Bonds for the 1968 Campaign has been announced as the target for the Toronto Women's Division. Members of the Executive Coinmittee met at the home of Women's Division Chairman Mrs. Irving Sussmanon September 5th, to activate a program to meet their target.
Representatives of Toronto's major women's organizations reported on events for their memberships which will take place during the coming weelcs to make this the most comprehensive program of Bond activity in the history of the Women's Division.
Mrs. Sussman who has just returned from a fact-finding mission tolsrael reported on her observations of developments in Israel.
Associate Chairman Mrs. Gabriel Alter presented a program of special significance to boost the sale of Israel Bonds to women through the concept of Advance Receptions prior to Tribute Dinners and luncheons honoring outstanding women in the participating organizations.
A highlight of the afternoon was the message brought by '>^-Mrs. Ofra Alyagon, one of Israel's foremost women journalists, who portrayed the human interest aspect of the Six-Day War and its aftermath on the people of Israel, and the tremendous impact of Jewish solidarity on the part of world Jewry during that period of crisis.
