Tel Aviv (JCNS) The HiSta-drut Authority for Jerusalem, established to promote the transfer of enterprises to the reunited capital of Israel, has failed completely. Not oae of its j>rojects hais been brought to fruition.
This admission, was indirectly contain^ in a report the Authority submitted to the Histadrut Central Committee, whichwas not intended for publication.
There was no lack of projects. The Authority planned the buildingofalSO-bedhotel in the capital, Ixit negotiations on the financing of this
project led nowhere. The Authority then submitted a plan for setting up an office building on the plot concerned, a par tof which would be used by the Histadrut itself and the other part rented. There was no response'to this.
A project to build a swimming pool at Ramat Rachel on the outskirts of Jerusalem was voted down by the assembly of the settlement. A housh^ project failed to raise any interest in the Central Committee. AU other plans had a similar fkte.
