Ner Israei Yeshiva College of Toronto IS continuing regular sessions during the summer at the. Beth Med-rash (post high school) level. For the ..Mesiftah (high, school), a special program has been.set up on a voluntary basis, consisting of courses vin the third and fourth' chapters of tractate Rosh Hashanah. an in-depth study of the 39 activities prohibited on Shabbos^ and the Prophet Yona. Besides her homemakr ing and aldermanic duties, she continues, to be leader of the Go Spadina group which she organized on. June 3. 1'97,1. when Premier William Davis stopped.the extension of the expressway.
After recallins many early Go Spadina dem -onstrations and petitions, she explained that it was this involvement that eventually got- her into politics. It was her busi-nessnian husband. Sol. who encouraged her-to run and use the issue in her campaign/ ..
Soon, Go Spadina -Go Shiner signs were - popping up everywhere, With. the help of her children, friends and especially her husband \\horanhercampaign, she manage'd . to s'queak into office by a. five-vote ma.i-gin.
