The Indian Hockey Team's debacle at the recent Olympics in Montreal should act as a pointer, for the selectors in, picking up teams for future Olympics.

various teams they encountered and this; calls for a thorough investigation back home.
One fact, however, looms large and that is the improvement '. shown by hockey teams of various participating countries, erstwhile considered of little strength, arid their performance at the Olympics does not make a secret of the hard-work they must have put in to reach their preisent status.
It is on the basis of this acceptance of other countries * emergence as strong teams, that we should plan bur future strategy. This calls for a thorough soul searching and herein lies in a great responsibility on the part of; our:selectors and people responsible for training programs.
Let us hope that pur hockey team in the next Olympics in Moscow yvill ex on er ate our performance in Montreal, and let all arid sundry realise that we are still a force to reckon with.
